Steve Irwin’s legacy lives on at the Australia Zoo, which holds its place as a national treasure and is only a short 10 mins drive.

Noosa (50 mins), famous for shopping and eating.

Walks

Do some walks around (or up) the Glasshouse Mountains (see Qld National Parks and Wildlife), with a favourite being the 40 minute walk up Mt. NgunGun. You can even walk from the cottages in 10 minutes to the main scenic lookout for the Glasshouse Mountains.
